Gregory M. Crouch joined the firm in 2012.  He conducts investigative research for the FPA Contrarian Value Strategy.  Greg has nearly three decades of experience as a financial and general assignment journalist.  He reported many years for RTL, Europe’s largest commercial television network, where he interviewed world leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel.  Greg also covered the Netherlands for The New York Times for both the business and foreign sections, serving as a contract foreign correspondent and business writer.  Prior to that, he was an investigative staff writer at The Los Angeles Times in Orange County, California.  He most recently taught journalism at two Dutch universities. Greg earned a Bachelor’s degree from The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and is fluent in German and Dutch. He passed Level I of the CFA program in 2014, Level II in 2015 and is a 2016 Level III candidate.
